down the aisle she goes
in her bridal veil
virginal perhaps
perhaps not
gauzy 

Bonnets
worn on Easter Sunday
a half century ago
in fashion parades
veiled and flowered festoon
trilby

Curtain
gives privacy to peek out
at the world passing by
cars down lanes
children running home
mailman on his rounds
drape

Covering
hiding what you are from all
obscuring the beauty of your grace
are you shielding yourself
from exposure to the world
swathing what the men require from you
veiled
