California's warm
How silly to choose to freeze
Climate change is fun.
Off I flew to Maine
Mittens, scarfs, boots, and parker
I could stay quite warm.
One day later snow
The heavy flakes that stick tight
Stayed on trees for days.
Sunset did not melt
As sky turns to coral hueCalifornia's warm

Beauty to behold.
The best part of Maine
Was being there with my friend
Spend time together.
Warmth there is the gift
Of friendship that we're sharing
Cold winds can't touch us.
Trip over too soon
Saying our fond, sad good byes
Time flew in a whiz.
