When considering this world's fauna
Sometimes I find I don’t wanna
Share my habitat with all those
Bugs and things
There are ants, centipedes, and spiders
And those evil little hiders
I am just grossed out by some
Bugs and things.
Now think of critters dangerous
Snakes and wasps that scare us
Could God have made mistakes on the
Bugs and things?
Move up higher in the chain
Hop aboard and travel the animal train
Spy porcupines and skunks that make you dread
Bugs and things.
Ok I gotta get a grip
I'm not a on a very good trip
Think of the many beneficial
Bugs and things.
A Butterfly and a dragonfly
With beauty that makes you sign
Colorful or translucent wings make some pretty
Bugs and things
Never forget the bumble bee
Whose work we often see
Pollinating flowers that please man and other
Bugs and things.
I'm told that there are reasons
For bugs in all the seasons
Those beneficial jobs, the work of
Bugs and things.
Native people I must warn you
Be careful what you do
Tradition says must eat if you kill any
Bugs and things.
So even though I shudder
When I find ants in the butter
I tell myself we really need all these
Bugs and things.
